EA Sports is preparing what could be the most ambitious content drop in Ultimate Team history. The Greats of the Game promo for EA FC 26, set to launch during the Festival of Football, will feature a roster of World Cup icons with stats that push the limits of the game. Leaks from community insider FUT POLICE LEAKS have revealed official face attributes and PlayStyles+ for cards reaching up to 97 OVR, and the lineup includes two Latin American legends making their franchise debuts.
Two South American Icons Finally Arrive
For the first time in the series, Argentine forward Mario Kempes and Brazilian playmaker Rivelino will be playable in Ultimate Team. Kempes, who led Argentina to its first World Cup title in 1978, arrives as a 95-rated striker with Pinged Pass+ and Incisive Pass+. Rivelino, known across football history as the "Atomic Kick" for his powerful left foot, comes in as a 96 OVR attacking midfielder with Finesse Shot+ and Technical+. Their inclusion is a major moment for fans who have long requested these icons, especially given the deep connection between Latin America and the World Cup.
The top tier of the promo is headlined by a 97-rated Ronaldo Nazário (Brazil) with 97 pace and 97 dribbling, Zinedine Zidane (France) with 98 dribbling, and Paolo Maldini (Italy) with 99 defending. Other 97-rated legends include Thierry Henry, Ronaldinho, Johan Cruyff, Franz Beckenbauer, and Bobby Charlton. These cards are designed to remain competitive through the entire game cycle, making them a true end-game collection.
The attacking options are deep: Ferenc Puskás boasts a 99 shooting stat, and Gareth Bale has 98 pace. Midfielders include Andrés Iniesta, Xavi, Toni Kroos, and David Beckham. Defensive reinforcements come from Marcelo, Carles Puyol, Patrick Vieira, and Lilian Thuram. In goal, Iker Casillas (98 reflexes) and Oliver Kahn provide elite protection.
According to data from Operation Sports, there will be no second team release for Greats of the Game. The Festival of Football calendar moves directly into the Glory Hunters campaign, which focuses on active modern superstars leading their nations in the 2026 World Cup knockout stages. Glory Hunters Team 1 drops June 26, Team 2 on July 3, followed by the Phénomènes campaign on July 10, and Summer Stars on July 24.
For Latino fans, this promo is especially meaningful. The inclusion of Kempes and Rivelino honors two of the region's most iconic World Cup heroes, while the presence of Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, and Marcelo reinforces Brazil's enduring legacy in the game. As the World Cup approaches, EA FC 26 is weaving together the past and present of international football in a way that resonates deeply across the Americas.
