EA Sports has confirmed that EA FC 26 will launch its unofficial World Cup mode on June 4, bringing 53 national teams into a 48-team tournament called “The World’s Game.” The update also includes a major seasonal overhaul for Ultimate Team, centered around a Festival of Football campaign. For Latino fans, this means the chance to lead Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Uruguay, Ecuador, and other regional sides through a digital international tournament that mirrors the real thing.

The mode arrives as anticipation builds for the actual World Cup 2026, which will be hosted across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. EA’s update lets players simulate the tournament early, with a bracket that expands from the traditional 32 teams to 48, matching FIFA’s new format. Of the 53 nations included, 41 correspond to real-world teams competing in the upcoming global event, while the rest offer additional variety in Kick Off mode.

Full National Team Roster: From Powerhouses to Underdogs

The playable roster spans every major confederation. Latin American squads are well represented: Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Uruguay, Ecuador, and Canada all feature. European giants like France, Germany, Spain, England, Portugal, Italy, and the Netherlands are included, alongside African sides such as Morocco, Senegal, Ghana, and rising nations like Cape Verde. Asian teams like South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Indonesia also make the cut, as do Haiti and Uzbekistan.

This diversity means players can rewrite history—perhaps guiding Colombia to their first World Cup title, or taking Mexico past the quarterfinals for the first time. The mode also includes freshly drafted international tournament objectives, giving each match added stakes.

Ultimate Team Gets a Festival of Football

Ultimate Team, the most popular online mode, receives a significant update with the Festival of Football campaign. EA has introduced a dedicated Event Hub where players can earn specialized player items with dynamic stats, reworked Evolution mechanics, and new Festival of Football Tokens for premium packs. The update also brings gameplay balancing tweaks aimed at making high-stakes international matches feel more fluid and competitive.

For Latino players who follow Liga MX, the Argentine Primera, or the Brasileirão, this means new ways to build squads around their favorite national team stars. The campaign will deliver fresh weekly content throughout the summer, keeping the virtual market active even after real-world tournaments conclude.

EA has also confirmed that the update includes the Pelé Icon card, a nod to the Brazilian legend who remains a symbol of football excellence across Latin America. The inclusion of Pelé ties the digital experience to the region’s deep football heritage.

For those eager to dive in, the mode launches on June 4 across all platforms. Whether you’re guiding La Albiceleste to glory or taking a dark horse like Ecuador deep into the bracket, EA FC 26 offers a summer of international football that feels both authentic and expansive.
